volunteers standing in the planting area at Alviso

Together we will be working to improve habitat in Alviso for the resident burrowing owl population by watering native plants that were planted this winter as forage for the owl population and removing invasive plants from the planting areas. This activity will involve carrying heavy buckets across uneven terrain, using hand tools and shovels.

Visit Grassroots Ecology’s Alviso Bufferlands webpage to learn more about the ecosystem and accessibility considerations.

Waivers/Registration: All volunteers attending the workday must be registered individually and have approved the online waiver through this Eventbrite page. This opportunity is only for those aged 18+.
