PROJECT SITE MAP
Grassroots Ecology works on the unceded lands of the Association of Ramaytush Ohlone, Tamien Nation, Amah Mutsun Tribal Band, and Muwekma Ohlone. We recognize their intrinsic relationship with land and water, and we are committed to leveraging access to their ancestral lands to support the sovereignty of local Indigenous communities.
Grassroots Ecology engages the community in habitat restoration projects, urban ecology, and environmental education at creeks and public open spaces in Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties. Our habitat restoration projects range in size from creekside parklets to thousand-acre open space preserves, and we cover a variety of natural communities from oak woodland and grassland plant communities to riparian and bay ecosystems.
