Volunteer Outside in Redwood City

  • Redwood High School 1968 Old County Road Redwood City, CA, 94063 United States (map)

Join Grassroots Ecology and CityTrees for a morning of habitat restoration at Redwood High School! Volunteers will support the restoration of local California biodiversity by planting native plant species using gloves, kneelers, and tools including shovels, stake pounders, and hammers.

Accessibility considerations include walking on uneven and steep terrain, being outside for the entire length of the event, and kneeling, squatting, and standing to plant trees. Volunteers will be supplied with gloves and all tools. Sturdy shoes are highly recommended.

Waivers/Registration: All attendees must register individually and approve the online waiver through this Eventbrite page. Youth under 18 must have their legal guardian approve the waiver on their behalf.

Parking: There is parking at the school, but if the lot is full there is curbside parking on Old County Rd.

Meeting Space: Meet at the far end of the parking lot by the creek bridge [link to Redwood High School]. Multiple drinking fountains are available, and there are multi-user gendered restrooms on sight.

There is cell service within some areas of the park.
