The Redwood City Pride and Beautification Committee is hosting its annual Spring Cleanup on Saturday, April 15th! The day begins at Public Works for breakfast and supplies. Volunteers will be directed to areas around the community to clean up and will return at noon for a BBQ lunch. You can register on site the day of the event at the Public Works gate (1400 Broadway, Redwood City).
Our cleanup location will be at our Redwood Creek restoration site in the heart of downtown Redwood City. Our work at Redwood Creek since 2018 has aimed to improve riparian habitat and water quality by planting native trees and riparian plants, removing trash and invasive species - including palm trees - and expanding the native urban tree canopy. With the help of community volunteers, this segment of creek provides multiple benefits to the watershed, the urban forest, and the surrounding community.
