Volunteer Appreciation Party at Foothills Nature Preserve

  • Foothills Nature Preserve Interpretive Center 3300 Page Mill Road Palo Alto, CA, 94304 United States (map)

Calling all Grassroots Ecology volunteers! Whether you've volunteered one time or twenty, join us for a Volunteer Appreciation Party to celebrate all your accomplishments at Grassroots Ecology's restoration sites.

What to Expect

This fun afternoon will be filled with gratitude, great company, and - of course - native plants. It’s our way of saying thank you for all you do—come relax, create, and enjoy!

  • Create a wreath using beautiful native plants to take home for the holidays! We'll provide all the supplies and guidance on how to make a wreath.

  • Sign up for a tour of our Native Plant Nursery! Say hello to our baby plants and learn about the process of raising plants from locally collected seed and cuttings.

  • Explore the ecosystems of Foothills Nature Preserve on a short nature walk led by our staff! What native plants and critters will you spot on the trail?

  • Enjoy catered lunch and beverages while mingling with Grassroots Ecology staff and other volunteers! Mediterranean food will be served for lunch - vegan and gluten free options will be available.

  • Everyone who attends will be entered to win Grassroots Ecology gear and other fun prizes!

How to Sign Up

Registration is required through Eventbrite. Each volunteer may bring a guest - all volunteers and guests should register individually and approve the online waiver through the Eventbrite page.

Youth under 18 must have their legal guardian approve the waiver on their behalf. Volunteers age 12 and under require an accompanying adult.
