Talk at Los Gatos Library, "California Native Plants in our Ecosystem"

Join us at the Los Gatos Library for a talk about native plants by Project Lead, Stephanie Saffouri. We will be focusing on the role of native plants in our unique Bay Area ecosystems and the small but impactful ways individuals can support local biodiversity.

 
 

This talk will be held at the Los Gatos Library and will not be available online. No registration is required.

 

Stephanie Saffouri is interested in urban ecology and creating connections between communities and their natural spaces. A Bay Area native, she is excited to apply her field ecology background to her local community. Stephanie has done research in a wide range of habitats from salt marshes to the Hawaiian rainforest. She has a B.A. in biology from Pomona College and an M.S. in biology from San Francisco State University.

Grassroots Ecology is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to caring for public lands and water across Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties. In collaboration with public landowners, governments, schools, corporations, and other nonprofits, each year they engage thousands of people in hands-on education and service that improves the local environment.
