EXPLORING NATURE NEAR YOU
Our Exploring Nature Near You events encourage participants explore their neighborhoods to look for different plants and animals. When we became unable to host our usual in-person events this spring, we began Exploring Nature Near You in an effort to provide a space online for community to connect to nature close to home. If you haven’t made it to one of our live events, you can use the resources below to learn about the nature near you at your own pace:

iNaturalist
The iNaturalist app allows users to record observations of nature online and share findings with others. The observations posted can be identified by experts in the iNaturalist community and many are even used in scientific studies. Learn more about the app and how to use it here.
